Favorite setups for riding with toddler?

With the Thule mini that bike just had the saddle quite low. It wasn’t comfortable but we never went far with it.

Our KRS went on a bike with a dropper post and it made life loads easier

I couldn’t fit the shotgun on the Merida speeder because the top tube was too narrow and I think the reach would have made it hard to pedal as well.

I ended up putting the shotgun on a Norco storm hardtail which had a bit more room to pedal.

Totally back up what you’re saying about being a bit passive and not able to see as much when sitting behind on the Thule seat.

I guess I should make a new thread for riding with children rather than toddlers, but that’s too complicated.
Once your toddler gets bigger, I highly recommend a trailer-bike.
I made one in 2005 for my then ~5 year old and we used it mountain biking as well as commuting. It used the seat post as the main pivot which actually created a MUCH better / more stable trailer than any of the trailer bikes I’ve seen.
It was so good for commuting because we could wide with him to school and leave the trailer at school and ride our own bikes to work.
I did have a video on YouTube of us riding the snake track in Mogo on it, but no surprises the video has disappeared now. Now uploaded to Vimeo, until they object to my music choice.
Sorry about the quality - it was 2005! The snake track video was recorded by cable tying my digital camera to my older son’s helmet.
