I wholeheartedly welcome bringing back the Tour of California and have mentioned this on a pro cyclist’s insta – but not on the insta site that is home to the Yosemite Sam wanna be of the pro peloton. When Fritz called it the “Tr_ _ _ Tour” I was in the middle of walking my dog during literal golden hour on the West Coast and wanted to laugh and cry at the same time. l get plenty an earful of the regime on Cool Zone Media but it was both affirming and saddening to hear that name on my escape time… PS. I don’t mind paying my fair share of taxes especially when it funds things for the public good like safe bike infrastructure, education, healthcare, parks, wilderness etc., instead of creating tax laws that reward the very rich for continuing to live with impunity.
