There is no problem with bottles bursting? Keego bottles are a fairly spendy affair and I don’t want to destroy mine in the freezer 
Just leave some space for the inevitable expansion.

I love these but every lid develops a leak. Am I the only one?
One out of five of my Elite bottles developed a leak. Specifically, it’s the nozzle that was leaking.

That’s not my experience.
This is how I care for my drink mix bottle:
After every ride, remove the silicone plug and rinse the bottle with dish soap solution.
Pop out the valve with a chopstick (or similar small object) by pushing against the plastic frame of the valve, not the silicone. Separate the two valve parts and wash in the dish soap solution that’s still in the bottle (just rub the parts between your fingers).
If there was only water in the bottle, I just remove the plug and let it dry.
Every few weeks the bottles get a deep clean.

Are they all different? What are the pros/cons of each? Which do you like most?
I have a supply of the older Podium bottles, with varying amounts of insulation. They’re easy to drink out of and fill, and the lids don’t break or leak(!), but I suppose they do need cleaning occasionally, however I’m not OCD about that.
Haven’t tried anything metal, and wonder if people burn their hands on these in very hot weather, plus presumably they dent, and scratch with metal cages.
I love my Keego bottles but have noticed the lining does wear off without scrubbing or dishwasher use. I too am interested in the specialized bottles because of the purist lining.
I’ve been using Bivo for approximately three years. In answer to your concerns; with normal body temp being around 37°C the hot bottle issue isn’t one to worry about, particularly with the silicone coated versions.
They can dent. I had one eject on a particularly rough descent once and it dented the outer surface but did not affect the inner or the vacuum.
I’ve used the Bivos exclusively with both Silca titanium cages and Supacaz Fly Ano cages; no significant wear on either the bottles or the cages. The silicone does wear but plastic bottles will also show wear when used with metal cages.
So, for me, I’m happy that I’ve not bought a bottle in three years and not drinking out of plastic.
Same, Elite bottles, both the thicker one with the narrower top as well as the light ones with the wider top. And interestingly, the durability is equally good for both models. I find that handwashing ensures the nozzles/valves last with no leaks.
As much as I like how easy it is to thoroughly clean the Elite bottles, I recently went back to Polar (now Hydrapak) Breakaway bottles because I got tired of my high carb drink mix leaking all over my bike out of the Elite nozzles. There does not seem to be a way to prevent the nozzles from leaking after using a brand new one just a few times.
Looking for a bottle that doesn’t leak carb mix all over my bike and can be cleaned. I like how the elite bottles can be cleaned but they leak after about 2 months of use. Specialized is hard/impossible to clean.
Is bivo the answer and save the elites for racing?
